Trade-In

Upgrading your rig? Trade in your old PC hardware with Unreal Tech and put its value towards your next upgrade from our store. We accept graphics cards, CPUs and other PC components, and the whole process is handled online.

Please note: this is a trade-in service only. We do not buy hardware for cash; your trade-in value goes towards a product from Unreal Tech.

How it works

Step 1: Send us your hardware details

WhatsApp us on 071 137 2518, email sales@unrealtech.co.za, or use our contact page with:

  • The make and exact model (e.g. ASUS RTX 3070 Dual OC)
  • Its condition and how long it has been used
  • Whether you still have the original box and accessories
  • A few clear photos, including any marks or damage
  • Any known faults or issues
  • The product you would like to trade towards

Step 2: Get your trade-in value

We review your details and tell you what your hardware is worth towards your upgrade. There is no obligation to accept.

Step 3: Accept and send it in

Happy with the value? Let us know and send your hardware to us. Shipping is at your expense, but we can book the courier for you if you prefer. Pack the item securely, ideally in an anti-static bag with plenty of padding, or in its original box.

Step 4: We inspect and test

Once your hardware arrives, we inspect and test it to confirm it matches the description you gave us.

Step 5: Get your upgrade

When testing checks out, your trade-in value is deducted from your new product, and we ship it to you. Delivery of your new product is also at your expense. If the condition of your trade-in is different from what was described, we will contact you with a revised value before going ahead.

Shipping

Shipping both ways (your trade-in to us, and your new product to you) is at your expense. We are happy to book the courier for you; just ask when you accept your trade-in value.

Tips for the best trade-in value

  • Be upfront about any faults, so your value does not change later
  • Include the original box and accessories if you have them
  • Clean the hardware and send sharp, well-lit photos
