Refund, Return & Warranty Policy
At Unreal Tech, we want our customers to shop with confidence. Please read the following policy carefully before making a purchase or returning an item.
14-Day Warranty
All products sold by Unreal Tech include a 14-day warranty, calculated from the date the customer receives the item.
If an item develops a fault during the warranty period, please contact Unreal Tech as soon as possible so that we can assist with the return and assessment process.
Warranty claims are subject to inspection and testing of the returned item.
Reporting a Fault
If you experience a problem with a product, please contact Unreal Tech before returning it.
Please provide:
- Your order number
- The product concerned
- A clear description of the problem
- Photos or video where appropriate
We may provide troubleshooting assistance before requesting that the product be returned.
Returning an Item
Returns must be authorised by Unreal Tech before being sent back.
Unless otherwise agreed, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the product is securely packaged for return transportation.
Where available, we recommend using the original product packaging together with suitable protective outer packaging.
The product should include all applicable accessories, components and other items originally supplied with it.
Return Packaging & Shipping Damage
All returned products must be packed safely and securely for shipping.
Customers are responsible for using sufficient protective packaging to prevent reasonably avoidable damage while a return is being transported.
Unreal Tech cannot accept responsibility for damage to a returned product caused by inadequate or unsuitable return packaging, subject to any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We strongly recommend photographing the item and its packaging before handing the return to the courier.
Inspection & Testing
Returned products may be inspected and tested before a warranty claim, replacement, repair or refund is approved.
Where a reported fault is confirmed, Unreal Tech will provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with this policy and applicable South African consumer law.
If testing finds that the product is functioning correctly, has been damaged after delivery, has been misused, or the problem is caused by incompatible hardware/software rather than a product fault, the warranty claim may not qualify for a remedy under this warranty.
Warranty Exclusions
The 14-day Unreal Tech warranty does not cover damage caused by circumstances such as:
- Physical or accidental damage after delivery
- Incorrect installation
- Misuse or abuse
- Liquid damage
- Electrical damage caused by external equipment or power conditions
- Unauthorised modification or repair
- Overclocking or operation outside manufacturer specifications
- Damage caused by incompatible components
- Missing, altered or removed serial numbers or identification labels
- Return-shipping damage resulting from inadequate packaging
These exclusions do not limit rights that customers may have under applicable law.
Change-of-Mind Returns
Change-of-mind returns are subject to applicable South African consumer law and Unreal Tech's return approval process.
Products must be returned in substantially the same condition in which they were supplied, together with applicable accessories and packaging where reasonably possible.
Where legislation gives a customer a cancellation, cooling-off or return right, that statutory right will apply.
Refunds
Where a refund is approved, it will be processed using the appropriate payment method or another method agreed with the customer.
Processing times after approval may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
Shipping charges and return-shipping costs will be handled in accordance with the circumstances of the return and applicable consumer law.
Compatibility
Customers purchasing PC components are encouraged to confirm compatibility before ordering.
Please check relevant specifications including:
- CPU socket
- Motherboard chipset
- RAM type and compatibility
- Storage interface
- Power supply requirements
- Physical dimensions and case clearance
If you are unsure about compatibility, please contact Unreal Tech before purchasing.
Consumer Rights
This policy is intended to operate alongside applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or replace any rights or remedies that a customer has under applicable South African law.
